GTS (Global TeleSystem) had a band-width network within Europe, from Lisbon to Moscow, and also two transatlantic connections. Their business was to provide and insure band-width network services to their clients.

The current availability calculation used at that time was only able to make the calculation for point to point and Ring services. Next to this, I analysed and implemented a new functionality to calculate the availability for IP services. This calculation was used to reimburse the impacted GTS clients.
